TOSHI & LIZA ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!

JOIN OUR "CIRCLE OF LOVE"

RSVP LINKS BELOW

Dear Friends and Family,

We've been casting "CIRCLES OF LOVE" over this past year

with four special gatherings to celebrate our partnership and to create a year long marriage ceremony.

We know that our lives, schedules and travel plans are often filled with uncertainty these days, so we decided to host four regional, seasonal wedding gatherings around the USA, spread over the year, to try and make it easier for guests to join us and emphasize that love is a journey, not a destination.

To make these gatherings as covid-resilient as possible, all of them are daytime outdoor picnics hosted at covered pavilions in public parks. We want to make it as safe and comfortable for everyone to gather together and we also just really love nature and the outdoors.

If you know us, you have probably already guessed this will not be a traditional wedding experience. We are taking this as an opportunity to deconstruct and reimagine the rituals of our marriage ceremony, to reflect our creative spirits and the love we share as life partners.

Each gathering includes a fun and interactive ceremony we are designing to connect with our circles of participants and to connect all of the gatherings over the year together. You may recognize some of the elements of the ceremony, some things will be twists on tradition, and some things will just be fun surprises.

FAQs:

I don't see a specific location where the wedding will take place. Where is it happening?

After you RSVP for the event you will be sent specific details including the location and schedule.

I feel uncertain about planning right now. Can I say “Maybe”?

Yes, we understand it’s hard to plan these days. You can mark yourself as a “Maybe” for now and update your RSVP when you're more sure; we will also check in as the event approaches. Just return to the RSVP link and you can update your responses at any time.

I can’t make it. Will you still love me?

YES! We hope you can join us, but we also know that not everyone is able to.

How does a “picnic wedding” work?

Think of this like any large picnic gathering with friends and family. Everyone should bring food for themselves (and to share if you want). We will provide drinks, dessert, and the ceremony. This is to allow for a naturally self-scaling event, reduce centralized coordination on food, and allow for as covid safe an event as possible.

Which one of these is your REAL wedding?

They ALL are, silly! We will consider ourselves married after we complete all four ceremonies, each is as important as all the others and they are all part of our year long official wedding ceremony.

How long will these events be?

Each event will begin in the late morning with a ceremony taking place mid-day. After the ceremony we will picnic and frolic throughout the afternoon. Please RSVP (above) to be informed of more specific information for each event.

Can I volunteer to help with the events?

Sure! If you’d like to help us with the event just let us know when you RSVP (above).

What about gifts?

NO physical gifts are needed or expected. Please do not buy us anyt stuff.
For those who feel moved to contribute to our TRAVEL FUND or our HOUSE FUND, we will receive those funding gifts with gratitude.

Your PRESENCE (or love from afar) will be the most cherished gift of all to us.

What is the dress code?

Our main request is that you dress to be comfortable outdoors for our day together in the park, so check the weather and wear comfortable shoes that are practical walking on grass. For those looking for outfit inspiration we have set totally optional ATTIRE THEMES for each seasonal gathering:

WINTER/CA = "WINTER ONSIE"

Wear a onesie to express yourself playfully, or just wear your favorite hooded jacket to stay warm.

FALL/MA = "FALL FESTIVE"

Dust off your best festival gear, adorn yourself in autumn colors, or just stick a fall foliage in your cap.

SUMMER/AK = "MOUNTAIN FORMAL"

Combine your taste for fashion with your thirst for adventure. Dress shirt, bow tie, shorts and hiking boots?

SPRING/FL = "FLORIDA FLORAL"

Wear a single flower or an entire floral print outfit.

NOTE:

These ATTIRE THEMES are just fun suggestions; you don't have to follow them.

Just make sure to dress comfortably for a picnic in the park.

REMEMBER...

LOVE IS A JOURNEY

NOT A DESTINATION

...WEDDING ;)
